Don Davidson, Managing Partner
Don Davidson has concentrated his career in the legal community and legal technology. Starting as a sales representative for Bancroft-Whitney, a legal publisher in California since 1856, he eventually worked his way to Vice President of Sales. Bancroft-Whitney merged with other major legal publishers to become West Group. Don was part of the integration team that planned and executed the sales function that later became West Group, the largest legal publisher in the world. After the integration, Don was the Director of Sales for the Western Market Center at West Group.
Upon leaving West, Don helped start several internet companies serving the legal community. As the National Director of Sales for Juritas.com, he helped pioneer “data mining” the court system for public record information. Don was part of the management team that started Fios, Inc. Fios was among the first Electronic Evidence companies. As the Vice President of Sales for Fios, Inc., Don helped establish the market for electronic evidence discovery. Having held a variety of executive management and sales positions for companies serving the legal community, the management direction chosen by The Davidson Group gives us a unique perspective in assisting other companies with their efforts to find the best talent. Janine DiMarco, Director of Client Development
Janine DiMarco has a background in Recruiting, Management and Human Resources. After a successful management career in the financial industry, Janine worked at Bancroft-Whitney/Thomson as an Employment and Benefits Specialist where she recruited sales representatives, attorney editors, account managers, technical support, and marketing and support staff. She recruited instrumental people for the new Product Development Department, which had the challenge of establishing Bancroft-Whitney as a Technology Company. Janine was a member of the San Francisco task force that helped transition the Thomson and West mergers and integrations. Maura Harrington, Director of Business Development
Maura Harrington’s sales career began in technology, which eventually led to her own computer showroom. Maura learned that acquiring top talent and developing the team were critical to business success and has since embraced solution sales that provide the tools and talent so that industry leaders can focus on their business.
Maura is passionate about identifying business partners who recognize the value of exceptional people and is committed to ensuring The Davidson Group effectively attracts and presents the candidates that can drive our client’s organizations to the next level. Steve Borton, Director of Consulting and Recruiting
Steve has over 25 years experience in delivering various data management and litigation solutions to the legal and corporate markets. As the past president of ARMA, Association of Records Managers, he has continuously been an active influence in the fast changing world of data use, storage, and litigation. Transitioning from off-site data storage and having been the Manager of RMS’s East Coast operations, Steve moved into technical solutions and the rapidly expanding volume of electronically generated information. Steve grew dTech, introduced Sratify to the Northeast and sold services in a variety of litigation support companies.
Working on some of the most visible cases in recent history including Gore v. Bush and US v. Microsoft, Steve has learned the vital importance of delivering cost effective and winning strategies with the most important ingredient as the team. Steve is very excited about joining The Davidson Group and being able use his experience and knowledge of the industry to assist in building winning teams.
Steve lives with his wife and family in Nyack, New York (just up the river from New York City!), and is an active member of his community. As Vice President of the Nyack Volunteer Ambulance Corps, organizing member Rockland Road Runners, and fund raiser for United Hospice of Rockland, Steve is grateful to be able to donate his time and energy to the community. Heather Rahman, Director of Research & Marketing
The Davidson Group invests more time and resources in researching candidates than any other recruiting firm of its size. We believe good research leads to finding outstanding candidates. Our research department is headed up by Heather Rahman. Heather came to the Davidson Group after being a researcher for RealFacts, LLC. Previously, she was a researcher for an accounting firm and for a stock trading organization. Heather graduated from the University of Texas -Austin with a degree in Mathematics. Email Heather
